Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
Depart from Nairobi early in the morning (around 7:00 AM) in a comfortable 4×4 Land Cruiser. The journey to Lake Nakuru National Park takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park and begin a scenic game drive on your way to the lodge. Expect to see a variety of wildlife, including buffaloes, zebras, and potentially rhinos. Arrive at the lodge for check in, relax and have lunch while taking in the panoramic view of Lake Nakuru. After some rest, depart for a late afternoon game drive in the park. This is the perfect time to see more wildlife, as the animals become more active in the cooler part of the day. Look out for rhinos, lions, giraffes, and the famous flamingos later return to the lodge for dinner & overnight.
Day 2: Full Day in Lake Nakuru National Park
Begin your day with an early game drive in the park. This is the best time to spot predators such as lions and leopards, as well as other wildlife like zebras, giraffes, and antelopes. Return to the lodge for a sumptuous breakfast overlooking the lake. You can relax at the lodge or opt for a spa treatment (on own account). Later have lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive to explore different sections of the park, including the Baboon Cliff Viewpoint for spectacular views of the lake and the park. Visit the Makalia Waterfalls, a beautiful spot inside the park, perfect for photos and a short break. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Departure
After breakfast, check out at the lodge. Depart from the park, enjoying a final game drive as you head toward the exit. Stop for lunch along the way (optional) before continuing your journey back to Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi by late afternoon (approximately 3:00-4:00 PM), marking the end of your Lake Nakuru adventure. Safe travels!
